Dr. Bauer earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northern Arizona University before achieving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Bauer has a deep passion for providing compassionate Fear Free veterinary care . As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, she strives to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress during veterinary visits and enjoys taking the time and patience needed to gain the trust of nervous or fearful pets.
Her behavior-aware approach also extends to sick and injured patients whenever their medical condition allows. Desert Forest Animal Hospital provides same-day urgent veterinary care in Cave Creek during regular business hours, with medical urgency always taking priority when rapid examination or stabilization is needed.
Dr. Bauer also has a strong professional interest in veterinary dentistry and regularly pursues additional training and continuing education with veterinary dental specialists.
When she’s not helping pets feel their best, Dr. Bauer enjoys spending time with her fiancé Jim, their dog Bunny, and their kitten Pigeon. She also enjoys arts and crafts, hiking, and camping throughout Northern Arizona.
